Compared with PU film dressing, what are the advantages of hydrocolloid material?

Healing environment and bioactivity
Hydrocolloid absorbs exudate to form gel, maintains a moist environment on the wound surface, promotes cell proliferation and epithelialization, and reduces the risk of dry scab formation and scarring.
PU membrane mainly relies on physical barriers and is thin and light.
Hydrocolloid can dissolve necrotic tissue and stimulate the release of growth factors to accelerate repair.

‌Absorbability and breathability
Hydrocolloid can better absorb exudate while maintaining breathability; PU membrane is waterproof but has limited absorption capacity to a certain extent.
‌Comfort and adhesion‌
Hydrocolloid and PU membrane are both relatively soft, fit the skin very well, and are not easy to slip off.

‌Pain management‌
Hydrocolloid and PU membrane are both easy to tear and good for sensitive skin.

Wound Dressing 1

Features:

1.Moist Wound Healing: Hydrocolloid dressing is rich in polymerized hydrogel, after absorbing exudate, it can form a gel-like semi-solid substance,

which adheres to the base of the wound and provides and maintains a wet environment conducive to wound healing
2.Suitable for a wide range of wounds:Suitable for daily care of mild exudative ulcers, mild decubitus ulcers, cystic acne, first stage burns, scrapes,

blisters, cuts, dermatitis, etc. It can also reduce subcutaneous congestion and edema after drip exudation, prevent phlebitis and other pressure wounds
3.Isolation of wounds: Hydrocolloid bandages can form an airtight environment, promote microvascular proliferation and granulation tissue formation,

reduce infection, thus accelerating wound healing
4.Transparent, ultra-thin and flexible:The soft hydrocolloid bandage it easier to conform to complex body contours such as elbows, knees and ankles.

Semi-transparent for better visibility of the wound[Waterproof, skin-friendly and easy to apply] This ultra-thin hydrocolloid patch is waterproof and breathable.

You can cut the right size as needed. The hydrocolloid does not stick to wet skin, so it can be easily removed.

Application method:
A: Tear off the backing, slowly peel off the protective film from one corner to avoid contaminating the adhesive surface.
B: Fit the wound, spread it flat from one side to the other to avoid bubbles or wrinkles.
C: Press the edge of the dressing lightly with your palm to enhance the stickiness by using body temperature.
Treatment of special parts,Joints or active parts: choose a larger dressing for easy cutting.

Product Material

‌Stimulates the growth of granulation tissue‌
Promotes wound repair.
‌Anti-inflammatory
Closed barrier blocks bacterial invasion
‌Optimizes pain management‌
The gel covers the nerve endings, and there is no adhesion during dressing changes, which significantly reduces pain; the soft material reduces friction stimulation.

Precautions for use

Contraindication screening ‌
‌Infected wounds‌
It is forbidden to use it alone for wounds infected with anaerobic bacteria, fungi, tuberculosis or syphilis, and it needs to be treated with antibiotics; it is also forbidden for wounds with severe infection, bone tendon exposure or active bleeding.
‌Specific wound types‌
It is forbidden for full-thickness burns, deep sinus tracts and ischemic necrosis wounds; it should be used with caution in diabetic foot, and hydrogel filling is preferred.
‌Excessive exudate‌
The absorption capacity is limited, and a large amount of exudate (such as severe exudative burns) can easily lead to rapid saturation and failure of the dressing, so a highly absorbent alternative should be selected.
