Self-adhesive dressings (with border)
Strip/cavity filling dressings
Adaptation to special parts: round or oval dressings are used for curved parts such as joints and face (such as umbilical cord patches and nose bridge patches).
Material Composition
Mainly made of synthetic materials such as polypropylene (PP), viscose fiber, polyurethane, etc., formed by processes such as spunlace, heat sealing or melt blowing.
Some dressings are composited with polyethylene (PE) breathable film on the surface to enhance waterproofness (laminated non-woven fabric).
Structural Advantages
Pore structure: High porosity provides excellent breathability and reduces the stuffiness of the wound.
Moisture absorption capacity: Strong ability to absorb exudate.
Hypoallergenicity: Medical pressure-sensitive adhesive bonding to reduce skin irritation reactions.
Medical Application
Basic wound care
Covering superficial wounds (abrasions, postoperative incisions), absorbing exudate and blocking bacteria.
Used for daily dressing changes of chronic ulcers (such as pressure sores and venous ulcers).
Application in special scenarios
Cavity filling: Strip non-woven fabrics fill sinuses, fistulas or deep pressure sore caves, support the wound cavity and drain exudate.
Protection and isolation: Made into surgical gowns, protective clothing, masks, etc., to provide a sterile barrier.
Fixed auxiliary materials: As a tape substrate or dressing backing, fix the catheter or wound dressing.
Composite functional dressings
Composite with absorbent pads and anti-adhesive films to make self-adhesive dressings, which have absorption, waterproof and anti-adhesion functions (such as sterile dressings).

Non-Woven Dressings Are Adapted To Different Clinical Needs Due To Differences
In Shape Design, And Are Mainly Divided Into The Following Types And Uses:
1. Sheet/block dressings
Basic wound coverage
Conventional square or rectangular dressings are used for direct coverage of superficial wounds (such as abrasions, postoperative incisions), absorbing exudate and keeping the wound clean.
Pre-cut sizes are adapted to different wound areas, such as small pieces (5×5cm) for local trauma, and large pieces (10×10cm) for covering surgical incisions.
2. Patch dressings (with border)
Fixed dressings
Self-adhesive type can be directly attached to the skin, waterproof and antibacterial (such as cesarean section patches and sterile dressings).
3. Strip/cavity filling dressings
Deep wound packing Narrow strips of non-woven fabrics are used to fill sinuses, fistulas or deep ulcers (such as pressure sore caves), absorb exudate and support the cavity wall to prevent collapse.
4. Custom-shaped dressings
Adaptation to special parts Round or oval dressings are used for curved parts such as joints and face.
The dressings fit the body contours to reduce the risk of falling off.
