Features

How hydrocolloid acne patches work
Physical barrier
Forms an airtight protective layer after covering acne, blocking external bacteria, dust and pollutants from invading the wound and reducing the risk of infection.
Reduces secondary irritation caused by hand touch or clothing friction.
Active Absorption of Secretions
Hydrocolloid material (e.g. CMC-Na) absorbs pus, tissue fluid and other exudates to reduce internal pressure and relieve redness and pain.
After absorbing the liquid, it expands into gel form, preventing the exudate from spilling out and polluting the surrounding skin.

Routine Replacement Time
Base Time Window
8-12 hours: most products are recommended to be changed in this interval to avoid patch failure or bacteria growth.
Night extension: no risk of contamination during sleep, can be applied for 12 hours (e.g. 20:00 - 8:00 the next day).
Visual judgment method (highest priority)
Patch whitening/bulging: whitening color and obvious swelling after absorbing secretions, need to be replaced immediately (usually appears 6-8 hours after application);
Patch transparent and tight: When not absorbing sufficient exudate, the patch may not be replaced, but do not exceed 12 hours.

Difference in acne status
Broken and pus-filled acne: change every 6 hours when there is a lot of secretion (the patch turns white faster);
Unbroken red and swollen acne: if it is only for protection, the patch can be changed every 12 hours. Skin type and environment
