Contraindications
Infected wounds (especially anaerobic and fungal infections), full-thickness burns, and active bleeding wounds.
Risk warning
Excessive exudation (such as burns with a lot of exudate) can easily lead to saturation and failure of the dressing, and a highly absorbent material needs to be used instead.
Local ischemic wounds may increase the risk of necrosis and need to be combined with blood supply assessment.
