Silicone Foam Wound Dressing with Border Heart Square Shape Adhesive Waterproof Wound Dressing Bandage for Wound Care
Due to its liquid absorbency, breathability and gentle adhesion properties, silicone foam dressings are mainly suitable for the following scenarios:
1. Wound care in the medical field:
Medium to large amounts of ooze wounds
It is suitable for wounds with a lot of exudate, such as abrasions, surgical wounds, pressure ulcers, and diabetic foot ulcers. It efficiently absorbs exudate through the inner core of the foam and maintains a moist and healing environment.
2. Chronic Wound Management
For chronic wounds such as pressure ulcers (pressure injury), venous ulcers, diabetic foot ulcers, can relieve frictional stimulation and promote the growth of granulation tissue.
3. Burn and scald care
The foam layer cushions the wound friction to relieve pain and discomfort; the gentle and sticky edge design fits the skin to avoid secondary damage.
4. Postoperative incision protection
It is used for postoperative incision covering such as appendicitis and thyroid to prevent contamination and promote healing. It is especially suitable for the early recovery stage with more exudate.
Special scenario application
1.Assisted treatment of infectious wounds
Combined with antibacterial drugs, the drugs can be fixed and contaminated, reducing the risk of infection spread.
2. Protection of friction sensitive parts
For example, areas where joints, sacral and coccyx are susceptible to compression or frequent movement, silicone sticky edges provide stable fixation, reducing displacement or skin damage caused by friction.
Method of use:
1. Make sure the wound area is clean and dry before using dressing.
2. A dressing should be selected that overlaps the wound margin by at least two centimeters.
3. Remove the release film before use and adhesive the dressing on the wound area.
4. If required, silicone foam dressing without border may be cut to size or shape before removal of the protective film. Once in position the dressing may be held in place with a bandage or other suitable retention aid.
