Products Description
Foam dressing is a functional dressing developed based on modern wound care concepts. Its core characteristics lie in achieving exudate management, moist environment maintenance and physical protection through material and structural design.

Compared with traditional dressings (such as gauze, vaseline gauze, etc.), foam dressings have significant advantages in exudate management, healing environment optimization and user experience.
Accelerate wound healing
Promote granulation and epithelial growth
The moist environment is conducive to cell migration and collagen synthesis, shortening the healing cycle (such as diabetic foot ulcers, pressure sores).
Reduce tissue adhesion and pain
The non-sticky contact layer avoids pulling the wound during dressing changes, protects exposed nerve endings, and relieves pain.
Traditional dressings: limited absorption capacity, easy to be soaked and cause bacterial reproduction; alternating between dryness and excessive moisture, destroying the healing microenvironment, and easily forming bacterial culture media after soaking, increasing the infection rate.
Foam dressings: can absorb more than 10 times its own weight of exudate, vertical backflow to avoid accumulation. Maintain an ideal environment of moisture without fluid accumulation, less microbial growth.

Moist healing
Foam dressings lock in moderate moisture, promote cell migration and collagen synthesis, and increase the healing speed.
Traditional gauze is prone to form scabs in dry environments, delaying the epithelialization process.
Tissue protection
The foam contact layer is a non-sticky material to avoid secondary damage and pain when changing the dressing.
Traditional gauze is easy to adhere to the wound, and tearing it off will cause damage to the new tissue.

Product Material
Foam dressings solve the pain points of traditional dressings in terms of exudate retention, tissue damage and nursing efficiency through material innovation and functional integration, and have become an important practical tool for modern moist healing theory.
Precautions for use
Specification matching
The dressing needs to cover the wound and extend 1.5-2cm beyond the edge. For cavity wounds, a filling foam dressing should be used to fit tightly;
For active parts (such as joints), high elasticity, self-adhesive dressings (such as silicone foam dressings) are preferred to enhance fit.
Type selection
Hyperosmotic wounds: highly absorbent polyurethane foam dressings (such as Mepilex);
Fragile skin: hypoallergenic silicone adhesive or non-adhesive type (secondary fixation required).
