Classification by exudate level
1.Moderate to severe exudate wounds
Such as pressure sores (stage 3/4), lower extremity venous ulcers, surgical wound dehiscence, etc., which can absorb 15-20 times than own weight of liquid.
2.Infected wounds with more exudate (need to cooperate with antibacterial treatment).
Classification by wound morphology
1.Irregular or cavity wounds
Such as sinus tracts, abscesses, and deep undercover wounds, need to be filled with strip-shaped alginate dressings to fit the wound surface.
2.Superficial wounds
Such as abrasions, cuts, donor site wounds, etc., can be covered with sheet dressings.
