Applicable scenarios
Mainly used to fix intravenous indwelling needles, PICC catheters, CVC catheters, etc.
Applicable to postoperative catheter care that requires waterproofing (such as chest and abdominal drainage tube fixation).
Operation points
When applying, it needs to be naturally suspended to avoid stretching and causing adhesive deformation.
The size selection needs to cover the catheter and the skin area ≥2cm around the puncture point.
Model classification
According to the opening design, it is divided into three categories:
Type I: No small hole (fully enclosed)
Type II: Square small hole (convenient for docking catheter interface)
Type III: U-shaped/V-shaped small hole (adapted to special catheters).
Precautions for use
Absolute contraindications
Infected wounds or puncture sites
If signs of infection such as redness, swelling, pus oozing, and fever appear at the puncture site, the PU film patch must be discontinued and replaced with an antibacterial dressing and anti-infection treatment.
Basis: Closure of infected wounds may increase bacterial growth (such as accumulation of undrained pus).
Arterial catheter fixation
It is prohibited to use it for arterial catheters (such as radial artery catheterization). It is only suitable for intravenous access such as venous indwelling needles and PICC.
Risks: High arterial pressure can easily cause the patch to loosen and fall off, causing bleeding or hematoma.
Skin ulcers or damaged base
It is prohibited to use it when there are active ulcers, erosions, or large areas of epidermal defects in the application area to avoid adhesive irritation of the wound.
