Precautions for use
Absolute contraindications
Infected wounds or puncture points
It is contraindicated when signs of infection such as redness, swelling, suppuration, and fever appear at the puncture site.
Risks: The core may retain exudate, aggravate bacterial growth, and delay infection control.
Allergy to core ingredients
Although alginate cores are generally hypoallergenic, they are contraindicated for those who are allergic to natural seaweed extracts.
Identification: If erythema, blisters, or severe itching occur after application, they should be removed immediately.
Dry wounds or non-exudate puncture points
The core needs to be in contact with exudate to activate gelation. Using it on dry wounds may cause adhesion and damage to the skin.
