1. ‌Prohibited operations and scenarios‌
‌Arterial catheter fixation‌
The indwelling needle patch is only suitable for venous catheter fixation and cannot replace the dedicated fixation device for arterial catheters. Otherwise, improper pressure may cause vascular damage or thrombosis.
‌Replacement for suture or hemostasis‌
It cannot be used for wound suture, deep tissue hemostasis or wound coverage with incomplete skin disinfection. Standard medical operations must be followed.

2. High-risk puncture sites‌
‌Joint sites‌: Joint movement can easily cause film curling or catheter displacement, so non-joint area puncture should be given priority.
‌Lower limb veins‌: Slow blood flow can easily cause thrombosis, and the film is easily rubbed off. Do not choose lower limb puncture unless necessary.

3. ‌Use condition restrictions‌
‌Device adaptability restrictions‌
It is prohibited to use it when the catheter is not fully inserted into the blood vessel or the indwelling needle hose is damaged, which may cause leakage or catheter rupture.
When the heparin cap is improperly fixed (such as not using the high-lifting platform method), it is prohibited to force fix it with ordinary films, and a special fixation device must be replaced.
‌Environmental and nursing restrictions‌

4. If the puncture site is not completely dry (such as residual iodine or alcohol), it may cause adhesion failure or bacterial growth.

It is forbidden to continue using the indwelling needle patch that has not been regularly checked (it is recommended to be evaluated every 24 hours) or replaced on time (usually 72 hours).

5. Warning of key taboo behaviors
‌Taboo operations‌: forcibly pulling the catheter to remove the film (prone to catheter dislocation or vascular damage); repeatedly puncturing the same vein at the puncture site (intervals must be >48 hours).
‌Taboo scenarios‌: not changing the infusion connector after infusion of blood products, and not wearing sterile gloves to change the dressing (infection risk ↑).
